My name is Lourdes Ramirez, and animals have been a huge part of my life and career for many years. After working as both a veterinary technician and professional pet groomer, I’ve seen firsthand how important proper grooming is to a pet’s health, comfort, and quality of life.
I’ve also seen something that has always been difficult for me to accept: people deeply love their pets but simply cannot afford the care they need.
For a senior living on a fixed income, a veteran struggling financially, or a person with a disability, the cost of professional grooming can become a real barrier. And when grooming is delayed, something as simple as overgrown nails or tangled hair can eventually become very painful and affect a pet’s well-being.
I started Companion Pet Care Network because I wanted to help bridge that gap.
I believe financial hardship should not have to separate people from the animals they love. Our pets are family.
For many people, especially seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities, they are also their only companions, sources of comfort, and an important part of everyday life.
CPCN was created to connect families with compassionate grooming professionals and financial assistance so pets can receive essential grooming care while remaining healthy, comfortable, and at home with the people who love them.
What began as an idea to help one pet at a time has grown into a mission I hope will reach many families and communities.
Because helping a pet means helping the person who loves them, too.
